Presenter FAQ

What equipment will be available?

Concurrent session rooms will have a projector and surface to project upon.  Sound systems will be used in Ballrooms A, B, C, 304 and 402 due to the size and acoustics of the room.  Wireless Internet will be available.

Technology Fair presenters will need to provide their own equipment.  Power and wireless Internet will be available.

How do I need to set up my Technology Fair session?

Each Technology Fair session will take place in a 10'x10' booth constructed of pipe and drapery.  You will have a table as well.  You may pin items to the drapery, but keep in mind that heavier objects may need to go on the table as not to tear the fabric.

There are no specific requirements regarding what must be displayed.  Just keep in mind it would help to draw traffic to your booth if you have something "eye-catching."

Registration

Please make sure you have registered.  You may contact our registration desk or register on site if you have not registered or have questions.  Please respond to the address on your registration email.

Concurrent session presenters received two complementary registrations.  Technology Fair presenters receive two registrations at a reduced rate.

How many participants should I prepare for?

It's difficult to determine just how many people will be in a specific session since participants do not have to register for concurrent sessions.  I've attached a Raleigh Convention Center map that will provide information regarding room layout and the number of participants it holds.  You can get a rough estimate of how many people a room will hold by averaging the seminar and theater style seating numbers.
